Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026
Grammify is a website for learning English grammar: lessons, sentence diagrams and exercises, and tools teachers use to run courses. It is operated by Pablo Ortiz. These terms are the rules for using it.
By creating an account or using Grammify you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Grammify.
1. The service
Anyone may read the Learn pages and practise on the published sentences without an account. With an account you can join courses, do the work your teachers assign, and see your grades and attendance. Teachers can create courses and assignments.
Grammify is offered free of charge. We may change, add or remove features, and we will try to give notice of changes that affect courses in progress.
2. Your account
- Use your own email address, and give your real name so your teachers can recognise you.
- Keep your password and your sign-in methods to yourself. On a shared computer, sign out when you finish, and sign out of Google too if you used it.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, reset your password and write to portiz4@gmail.com.
- Students under 18 need the authorization of a parent or legal guardian, as the Privacy Policy explains.
3. Courses and your work
Your teacher runs each course: who is enrolled, what is assigned, how it is graded, and how attendance is taken. Questions about a grade or an attendance mark go to your teacher first.
Do your own work. Do not share attendance codes or links with students who are not in class, and do not try to see other students' work or answers you have not earned.
4. Teachers' responsibilities
If you use Grammify to teach, you also agree to:
- enrol and invite only your own students, for teaching, and follow your school's rules about using online platforms with students;
- tell your students that their work, grades and attendance are recorded in Grammify, and point them to the Privacy Policy;
- record only what your teaching needs, and never sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions and the like) in notes or anywhere else;
- keep the spreadsheets you download safe, since they contain your students' personal data;
- check sentences, analyses and questions before you assign them, and verify only analyses you have reviewed.
5. Content
Grammify's lessons, diagrams, software and design belong to its operator. You may use them for learning and teaching, including in your classes, but not copy the site or resell it.
You keep the rights to the sentences, questions and other content you add. You allow Grammify to store, analyse and display it to the people it is meant for: a private sentence to you, a shared one to the teachers it is shared with, and assigned work to your students. A sentence becomes public in the gallery or the Learn pages only if you ask for it to be shared and the administrator publishes it.
Do not add content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful, offensive or contains other people's personal data.
6. Automated analysis
Sentence analyses start from an automatic parser, and some questions and pictures are drafted by AI services. They can be wrong. A sentence marked as verified has been reviewed by its author, but Grammify does not guarantee that any analysis, answer key or explanation is free of errors. If you find one, tell your teacher or write to portiz4@gmail.com.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to get into accounts, courses or data that are not yours;
- disrupt or overload Grammify, or get around its limits and protections;
- use automated tools to copy its content or create accounts in bulk;
- use Grammify to harass anyone or to send them unwanted email.
If you find a security problem, please report it to portiz4@gmail.com instead of using it.
8. Suspension and closing your account
We may switch off an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and will say why when we can. You may stop using Grammify at any time and ask for your account to be deleted, as the Privacy Policy describes. Your teachers keep the grades and attendance of courses you took part in.
9. No warranty, and limits of liability
Grammify is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything important, such as your course's grades. To the extent Colombian law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by outages, errors in content, or the services listed in the Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Colombian law that cannot be waived.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. We will try to settle any disagreement with you directly first; write to portiz4@gmail.com.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of the page and, for important changes, tell account holders by email before they take effect. Using Grammify after a change means you accept the new terms.
